Potomac Strategy Associates founder, Jerry Cox, has many years’ experience in civil litigation, trial work, adversarial administrative proceedings and high-profile appellate litigation. He has represented clients before the U.S. Supreme Court and a U.S. Court of Appeals in important administrative law cases.

Government Investigations

Mr. Cox has handled several types of government investigations.

He has eliminated or substantially reduced civil penalties, damages and other sanctions against companies accused of violating federal hazardous materials transportation laws. He has managed clients’ involvement in aircraft accident investigations and automotive safety recalls.

Administrative & Regulatory

Mr. Cox has drafted formal, written client comments in a wide variety of rulemaking proceedings, often involving consumer protection, public safety and homeland security.

Antitrust & Corporate

Mr. Cox defended a national trade association in a federal antitrust investigation and has provided advice on compliance with antitrust and consumer protection laws. He has also handled corporate matters for trade groups and not-for-profit corporations.

Legislative Drafting and Lobbying

Mr. Cox has drafted and obtained enactment of state and federal legislation. He has helped clients win hundreds of millions of dollars in federal contracts and grants.
